The UFC has cut its roster to open May.
MMA Fighting has confirmed to UFC officials that nine fighters are no longer signed to the promotion, including veterans Luke Sanders, Justine Kish, Anthony Birchak, Bartosz Fabinski and Oscar Petshota, who have participated in the promotion at least six times.

All of these fighters suffer two or more defeats in a row.
Sanders and Kish had the most UFC experience of the fighters released, with Sanders holding 3-5 records, competing mostly in the promotion bantamweight, and Kish having 3-4 records, competing at 125 pounds.
The news of the release of the Infantry came the same week that the USADA suspension was passed to the middleweight division, which will last until July 2022.
Bhullar and Cruz both have lost two UFC matches, while Griffin has only posted 1-4 in his five UFC matches.
Fabinski and Birchak competed for the UFC six times: Fabinski went 3-3, and Birchak went 2-4.
De Castro, a 2019 Contender Series veteran, has passed 1-3 UFC heavyweight title.
