Per ESPN
on Thursday, Amanda Nunes (21-4) has lined up her next defense title, for her first appearance at 135kg since 2019. In bantamweight, she will defend her leash against Julianna Pena (10-4) in the UFC 265 in August. 7. Pena called Nunes after the collapse of Pena’s previous fight with Holly Holm. In a victory in a match, Pena will win the gold.

Nunes showed nothing less than unbeaten in its current, historic 12-game win. In her last outing, the two-time champion took Megan Anderson out in the first round with a triangle arm to defend her winged throne. In doing so, Nunes has expanded or set many records among all female UFC fighters, including more wins, more league wins, breaks and first round finishes.

Pena has alternated wins and losses in its last five dating back to 2016, with wins for Cat Zingano, Nicco Montano and Sara McMann, with defeats submitted by Valentina Shevchenko and Germaine de Randamie. Although not the first enemy Nunes has faced since the 18th season of “The Ultimate Fighter”, Pena won the bantamweight season. Pena publishes a 70% career stoppage, like Sara McMann, Milana Dudieva and Jessica Rakoczy – the latter was to win the TUF.

UFC 265 will take place on August 7 at a currently unspecified location, and there is only one match currently reserved for the card. The offer has started planning pay-per-view titles much earlier, as it was previously announced that Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira will cross the line at UFC 266 in September.
