The UFC on ESPN 24 got another hit just hours before the card started.
Amanda Ribas tested positive for COVID-19, and as a result, her match with Angela Hill was canceled. Ribas confirmed the news after an initial report from MMAFighting.com.
“Well, guys, as you can see, my hair was ready, I was ready, I came here with negative tests and then I got the news I have (positively tested),” Ribas said in a video in her Instagram story “I hope you can send the gifts to me. Kisses!”
The UFC on ESPN 24 will go on for nine seasons. The event takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and focuses on a showdown between Michelle Waterson and Marina Rodriguez.

Philipe Lins also retired from a heavyweight bout against Ben Rottwell after falling ill, and a Ryan Benoit fly fight against Zarrukh Adashev broke out when Benoit was hospitalized after a difficult weight loss.
Ribas had a five-game winning streak that broke in their last outing when they suffered a second-round TKO loss to Rodriguez in UFC 257. Hill, meanwhile, completed a two-game slide with a three-round decision for Ashley Yoder. at UFC Fight Night 187.
