Aspen Ladd thinks people are giving Conor McGregor too much trouble.
Much has been said about McGregor’s antics at UFC 264 after the fight. After a tibia fracture that ended his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier, McGregor hit Poirier and went so far as to call his wife Jolie “little hoe.”
McGregor has been heavily criticized for her actions, and while Ladd disagrees with the comments, she believes the “haters” should take a step back. Here’s what she said to Brian Campbell of Morning Kombat (h / t Middle Easy).
“I think the only thing I saw what he did wrong was his interview after the fight, but the dude was in pain. Basically, everyone screwed up on him, but he just broke his leg, he just lost a fight, he’s not in a good mental state, ”said Ladd.
“Nobody should hate him. He has done so much for the sport. (This is almost the same as) Rhonda Rousey, how do you feel about her. As if everyone should be grateful. Of course, you may want this (person), you may want to do this. But these people brought up sports … You have done a great job, you have helped all of us. “
Rhonda Rousey also defended McGregor. She even went as far as praising Notorious for having his fourth fight with Poirier due to a leg injury.
Ladd was expected to split the Octagon with Macy Chiasson at UFC Vegas 32 this Saturday night (July 24). Chiasson was injured, so the fight will not take place.
