UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture has a health scare and heart attack, but there is good news.
TMZ Sports announced that Couture is in intensive care at a Los Angeles hospital. Couture sensed that something was wrong and went to the hospital from the Unbreakable MMA gym. There he was immediately hospitalized. Sources told TMZ Sports that he is expected to make a full recovery.
Throughout his career in mixed martial arts, Couture has earned many accolades. He is a three-time UFC heavyweight champion and two-time UFC light heavyweight title holder. He also once held an interim gold light heavyweight title. “The Natural” won the UFC 13 Heavyweight Championship back in May 1997.
Perhaps the most memorable moment of his career, when Couture defeated Tim Sylvia to win the heavyweight title. What made this moment stand out was that Couture was a huge outsider and he was 43 years old.
Couture acts as a color commentator for the Professional Fighters League (PFL). The promotion is currently in the middle of the playoffs. The finale will take place on December 31st at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York.
MMA News wishes Randy Couture a full and speedy recovery.
