Exclusively on Real World Police, this video features the 2018 Lenox Square arrest of world boxing champion Adrien Broner, described by an officer on the scene as “high as a kite.” Due to the length of this video [the underlying videos are nearly five hours long] its opening minutes present the highlights of what is to come. From Atlanta Police Officer K. Goree’s report, lightly edited for clarity: “On February 12, 2018, I, Officer K. Goree, responded to a sexual assault call at 3393 Peachtree Road. scene, Officer Baskin was detained due to a dispute at the mall.On his arrival, he met with the mall’s security personnel, Adrien Broner, [victim], Y [victim’s friend]. The victim stated that while walking through the mall, Mr. Broner approached her and that Mr. Broner appeared to be drunk. The victim stated that when Mr. Broner passed her, his right hand extended towards her groin and Mr. Broner grabbed her crotch. Mr. Broner stated that he did not touch the victim in passing and that she was lying. The victim’s friend said that while walking she heard the victim exclaim that Mr. Broner touched her groin. The victim’s friend stated that she did not witness the royal touch. Investigator Gilstrap and Sgt. Martin were on the scene. The incident was not caught on camera. After investigating the incident, it was determined that probable cause existed for Mr. Broner’s arrest for misdemeanor sexual assault OCGA 16-6-22.1 (C). Mr. Broner was arrested and transported to Fulton County without further incident. Mr. Broner’s property was turned over to a member of his family. Nothing else. “On March 28, 2018, the victim filed a civil lawsuit against Adrien Broner, in which he was represented by attorney Daniel Tobin. On the same date, Tobin filed an application for admission, requesting Broner to admit, among other things, that “At no point before touching the Claimant did the Claimant ask him to take a picture with her,” and that “he lied to the media when [he] said the plaintiff asked [him] for a photograph. “In a strange turn of events, on October 26, 2018, the victim’s lawsuit against Broner was dismissed without prejudice to the fact that the notification of the complaint to Adrien Broner was not completed. In an even stranger turn of events, Tobin refused to identify himself and initially stated that he had no idea what we were calling. after speaking with Tobin. Asked to comment on the litigation and explain why service was never made to Mr. Broner, Tobin claimed that by calling him “out of the blue” an hour before this story was published, we had not given him enough time to respond.
