Billy Quarantillo, Herbert Burns agree to fight at July 17 UFC event – MMA Root

Lightweights Billy Quarantillo and Herbert Burns will battle it out at UFC Fight Night on July 17 to see who returns to the winner column, MMA Fighting has confirmed. Quarantillo broke the news on social media.

The UFC has yet to officially announce the map and its whereabouts.

Quarantillo (15-3) won his first three in the UFC after stopping Kamuela Kirk on Dana WhiteContender series before losing by decision to Gavin Tucker in his last appearance in December 2020.

A former Ultimate Fighter in 2015, Quarantillo won a streak of eight fights with six finishes before his last failure.

Burns (11-3) also entered the UFC via DWCS in 2019 by hitting Darrick Minner with a choke triangle. Burns finished with Nate Landwehr and Evan Dunham in his first two appearances in the UFC before losing in the second round to Daniel Pineda last August.

The younger brother of welterweight challenger Gilbert Burns was originally expected to return to the cage in early May, but has postponed his return due to injury.
