Brendan Allen to Face Brad Tavares at UFC Event on Dec. 4

A mid-clash with Brendan Allen against Brad Tavares is underway for an Ultimate Fighting Championship event on December 4th.

Allen initially announced the fight on social media. The card is likely to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, but has no central event at this time. Other reported matches for the card include Jimmy Crute vs. Jamahal Hill and Brad Riddell vs. Rafael Fiziev.

A former Legacy Fighting Alliance champion, Allen has won five of his first six promotional appearances, with his only defeat coming from Sean Strickland. The winner of Dana White’s Contender Series is 2-0 so far in 2021, with a victory over Karl Roberson and a decision triumph against Punahele Soriano in his honor.

After suffering consecutive losses from Israel Adesanya and Edmen Shahbazyan from 2018 to 2019, Tavares returned to score 2-0 this year. The 33-year-old Hawaiian was given a unanimous verdict for Antonio Carlos Jr. at UFC 257, before winning the standoff with separate decisions against Omari Ahmedov at UFC 264, to mark his career at the Octagon at 14-6.
