Christian Edwards vs. Kevin Haley Pulled from Bellator 274 Lineup

The Bellator 274 ended a race after the cancellation of a lightweight pair between Christian Edwards and Kevin Haley.

MMAjunkie.com initially reported that the match ended because Edwards tested positive for COVID-19 and the match was no longer in the official squad that was released from the offer on Monday. As a result, the card will proceed with 13 periods.

The Bellator 274 takes place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., On Saturday and stars in a welterweight bout between Neiman Gracie and Logan Storley. The main card is televised on Showtime at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. ET, while the preliminary broadcasts on Bellator MMA YouTube, Showtime Sports YouTube and Pluto TV at 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT.

Edwards suffered the first loss of his professional career in the Bellator 266 when he was defeated by Ben Parrish 38 seconds in the first round of their showdown last September. The 23-year-old Jackson-Wink MMA product was the winner in his first five professional appearances before that defeat.

Haley is a CES MMA veteran with a 6-6 career that includes a victory over Mike Zichelle under the Bellator banner in 2015.
