Ciryl Gane vs Derrick Lewis odds: ‘Bon Gamin’ favored to slay ‘Black Beast’ at UFC 265 – MMA Root

Ciryl Gane will fight fellow heavyweight titan Derrick Lewis at the upcoming UFC 265 pay-per-view (PPV) event on August 7 inside the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

And he will do so as the -325 favorite.

That’s according to our prosecutor friends at BetOnline.ag, who called Lewis the +275 underdog. “Bon Gamin” and “The Black Beast” go to war for the promotion’s interim heavyweight belt.

A decision that shocked current 265-pound champion Francis Ngannou.

Win (9-0) is fresh off his unanimous decision win over Top 10 heavyweight Alexander Volkov, his sixth straight win under the UFC banner since joining the promotion in the summer of 2019. As for Lewis (25-7, 1 NC), he captured four in a row, including destroying Curtis Blaydes last February.

The UFC heavyweight division is in complete chaos right now and the decision to create an interim belt could also delay the return of former 265-pound champion Stipe Miocic, who was hoping to wrap up his trilogy against Ngannou later this year.

It is not probable.
