Boxing star Claressa Shields has set an official date for her MMA debut.
The world champion in three divisions will compete for the first time in MMA at the PFL event on June 10 at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The opponent has not yet been determined.

Shields, 26, signed with the PFL last November hoping to continue her boxing career as well as prepare for MMA competition. The two-time Olympic gold medalist will play outside the league’s tournament structure.
It is not yet known in what weight category Shields will perform in MMA. In her most recent bout against Marie-Eve, Deaker Shields weighed 153.6 lbs. She also won the boxing world middleweight and super middleweight titles.
Shields’ fight with Decker headlined women’s pay-per-view boxing, which was promoted by Shields herself along with Salita Promotions. It was the first two women’s PPV boxing headlining since June 8, 2001.Shields, the reigning WBC and WBO light middleweight champion, defeated Dicaire by unanimous decision to claim the vacant IBF and WBA titles, making her the first undisputed champion in two divisions in the era of four belts.
The PFL tournament on June 10 will also feature light and featherweight competitors.
