Italian DJ Francesco Facchinetti has indicted Conor McGregor on assault charges following an alleged altercation between the two at a hotel party.
Former two-time UFC champion Conor McGregor is accused of hitting Francesco Facchinetti without provocation last weekend. At the time, the DJ stated that he intended to sue McGregor, but now we have learned from a CNN report that he opened a criminal case against McGregor.
“He’s dangerous, he needs to be stopped,” Facchinetti told CNN.
As Facchinetti may hint, this is not the first time McGregor has been involved in the law. In 2018, McGregor was charged with assault and criminal injury following the infamous pre-UFC 223 bus assault incident. a man in an Irish pub.
McGregor’s latest scandal was a run-in with musician Machine Gun Kelly at the 2021 Video Music Awards. The photos show McGregor trying to attack Kelly on the red carpet of the event. Facchinetti now claims that McGregor was more fortunate this time around when he targeted the musician at his expense.
The Italian DJ now hopes that the St. Regis Rome, in which the alleged attack took place, was able to capture the altercation on video. Here is a statement from a company representative on this matter:
“We continue to offer our full support to the police in their investigation and have provided them with all available video surveillance systems.”
Conor McGregor most recently played at UFC 264, losing to Dustin Poirier. McGregor broke his leg during the fight and is currently recovering from surgery.
