“I think it’s time to get this baby out for the next race,” McGregor wrote on Twitter, posting a video of the UFC 196 press conference before the race, where he first mentioned the concept of his own belt. “I ask the UFC to create The McGregor. I suggest rose gold and rubies. Think of it rarely.

“Or, perhaps, yellow gold and emeralds. Maybe it’s nice too. I am open to design suggestions. Let’s connect [UFC]”

Although the race has not been finalized, UFC President Dana White recently confirmed that Poirer-McGregor 3 has been targeted for UFC 264 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 10. rematch at UFC 257 on January 23 in Abu Dhabi.

There will be no official championship belt on the line for the trilogy, as a fight between Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira at UFC 262 will determine the division’s new captain on May 15. While it is unlikely that the UFC will take McGregor’s request seriously, there is at least a priority for a ritual title with the aforementioned “BMF” band.
