Round 1

The night begins with bantamweights Falcao (14-3) and Barnes (14-4), with referee Mike Beltran emerging above the action. Both men took an orthodox stand and exchanged some test strikes. Barnes enters and clings, pushing Falcao to the fence. In 90 seconds, the Brazilian reverses his position and pushes Barnes into the cage, throwing a few short knees in the middle. They disengage and a moment later, Barnes shoots for removal but stands by Falcao. Barnes leads the action back into the cage and seems to be falling flat, but Falcao defends well with an overhook. They turn off and finish the round by throwing individual blows in the distance. The horn sounds loud, close for five minutes.

Serdog Ratings

Ben Duffy scores in the round: 10-9 Barnes
Tristen Critfield scores in the round: 10-9 Barnes
Mike Fridley scores the round: 10-9 Barnes

Round 2

Both men are active in starting the second round, with Barnes kicking and pretending. Barnes goes to the clinic, but Falcao removes him a moment later and lowers the levels for a clean abstraction. Falcao stands at the top with half a guard near the fence and receives short blows. Barnes fights and tries to escape, but Falcao is everywhere and ends up in side control. Barnes spins and walks against the wall to get back on his feet, then turns and works to get Falcao off his back using the fence. Falcao lifts Barnes and hits him back, moving immediately to the side control once again. Barnes works to keep Falcao out of balance, but Falcao walks to climb. Barnes looks to give up his back, but chooses to lie down and Falcao looks for a triangle arm drowning. Barnes defends well and Falcao finishes the round by throwing punches from the mountain. Dominant ground work framework for man from Nova Uniao.

Serdog Ratings

Ben Duffy scores in the round: 10-8 Falcao
Tristen Critfield scores in the round: 10-9 Falcao
Mike Fridley scores in the round: 10-9 Falcao

Round 3

Falcao runs Barnes to the fence, then lifts him for a slam belly to belly. Barnes quickly reverses his position, emerges and lowers Falcao down to the base of the fence. In a minute and a half, Falcao has a front headgear. Barnes gets up and disengages. Barnes shoots a takedown from far away and Falcao is everywhere. Falcao lands at the top, in the full guard of the American. They come out to the fence and Falcao passes to the half guard. He throws small punches to the sides and pushes an forearm into Barnes’ chin and neck. Two minutes ago, Barnes turned away from the fence, but Falcao was right on top of him, continuing to throw short blows as he worked to cross to climb. He climbs and rains fists. Barnes turns to his side and is covered as Beltran looks closely. After a few more unanswered blows, the referee has seen enough and stops the blow.

The Official Result

Pedro Falcao with victory James Barnes R3 3:55 through TKO (Punches)

Round 1

Light heavyweight Petrosins (5-1) and Kolev (10-0), with Chris Togoni being the third man in the Octagon. They exchange some pretense and low kicks from the orthodox attitude, but Kolev wastes no time in lowering the levels for a abolition. Petrosian gets up and Colef takes his back and lowers Hin once more, with emphasis. Kolev holds the taller man’s back for a moment, but Petrosin finds his legs again, turns inside and returns to the clinic. Petrosian goes overboard as Kolev leads him into the cage, throwing small punches to the head. Kolev falls for a monopod and lowers Petrosin down, moving backwards as the Armenian gets up again. Petrosian spins inside again and takes the overhook. They separate and Petrosyan lights him immediately with two strong kicks. Kolev rushes back, squeezing and running Petrosian to the fence. Petrosin pushes him and lands in a combination of three pieces. Kolev staggers and Petrosin is everywhere, illuminating him with a blow to the head as Kolev steps. Kolef is surprised to find himself in his place and Tongoni is already running for the stop as Petrosin finishes the job with a pair of punches. Big knockout for Armenio, who gives Kolef his first defeat in his career in the bazaar.

The Official Result

Armen Petrosin winner Kaloyan Kolev R1 4:27 via KO (Head Kick and Punches)

Round 1

We remain in the 205 pound class as Boralo returns just three weeks after his win in Week 5 and goes up a weight class to meet Murray. Mike Beltran is your referee. Murray throws some low orthodox kicks against Boralo’s southern foot, karate stance. Boralo counts Murray for a left-handed shot he looks at. A moment later, he nails Murray with a straight left under the pipe, and, a few moments later, a right hook. Murray collapses on the canvas and Boralo plows with fists and hammers until Beltran is forced to intervene. The quick and nasty knockout from “The Natural” makes three straight to start the night.

The Official Result

Cayo Boralo winner Jesse Murray R1 1:41 via TKO (Punches)

Round 1

In the only women’s match of the night, Rodriguez (6-0) with the big projection meets the Brazilian Matsado, with Chris Tononii supervising the process. The drums take similar orthodox stances and Matsado is the one who strikes first, taking out some low blows. Machado kicks Rodriguez’s high guard. A minute later, the Venezuelan chases forward, still without having committed a major offense. Rodriguez lands one or two throwing Matsado on the canvas, more out of balance than injured, but Matsado is spotted again as he stands. Rodriguez falls for a double leg and leads Machado into place, but Machado gets up and uses the fence to stand. In the middle of the round, they meet in the center of the cage. Machado lands left and ducks away from a killing bench. Machado lands another high kick from Rodriguez’s crossbar. Rodriguez rushes forward with his fists, supports Matsado on the fence and lands a combination before the tallest woman can slip out. Rodriguez runs Mahado into the fence and seeks removal, but Machado defends well using overhooks, cutting Rodriguez with an insidious elbow in the process. They break and Rodriguez tries to take another step before the horn.

Serdog Ratings

Tristen Critfield scores in the round: 10-9 Rodriguez
Mike Fridley scores in the round: 10-9 Rodriguez

Round 2

The second round starts as the first one did, with the striker Machado and the first one who threw. Machado lands a clear right hand side. Rodriguez comes out in front behind one or two who glance at him. Machado throws a front kick in the middle and is faced with a hard right-left combination. A moment later, Machado lands with a hard kick to the body and eats a counter left. Both women land with a sound impact. In the middle of the round, kicks land simultaneously. Rodriguez shoots a slow double leg, changes to a single, but Matsado escapes easily and descends the fence. Rodriguez tries to turn his elbow back, but Matsado presses down on him and runs Rodriguez into the cage. Rodriguez reverses his position and seeks abolition. Machado uses an overhook to defend and Rodriguez falls for a single leg. The horn is heard with the two of them jockeying for a place on the fence.

Round 3

Rodriguez walks forward to start the final frame, with Mazando bouncing out and looking to counter. Machado comes forward with a long, straight right labeled Rodriguez’s chin. Rodriguez backs off and Matsado hunts. Rodriguez falls for a takedown, gets up and puts Machado on the canvas, but Rodriguez does not admit the position. He turns back to the fence and uses it to get up. With two minutes left, Machado seems to be by far the coolest woman. Rodriguez tries for another abolition, but Mahado removes it and runs it to the fence. Machado pushes her into the cage and lands short strikes. Rodriguez spins them, throws levels and gets a surprisingly easy look. He lands two hammers before Machado manages to get up. Machado stands, however, and Rodriguez easily throws her to the floor, where he moves to climb and throws a few more blows before the last horn.

Round 1

The last fight of the night includes the welterweights Renfro (8-1) and Parsons (7-2), who – do not let the tricks fool you – are a direct contender for the gallery of the greatest heads in mixed martial arts if O wins Mike Beltran, who knows one or two things about hair control at work, plans the referee’s assignment. Parsons settles in the southpaw, Renfro in the orthodox, and Parsons immediately fires a few left kicks to the open side. Renfro jumps into range with one fist and then another. Parsons kicks and Renfro misses an opponent from the top. They collide on the boxing field and Renfro lands with an overwhelming shot on the body. Renfro continues with two more punches and Parsons is injured. He returns to the fence and Renfro follows, looking for the finish. Parsons composes himself and reciprocates the fire with his own combination. With two minutes left, Parsons crashes into his outer leg and appears to have fully recovered. Renfro catches Parsons with a left that falls and jumps, but Parsons returns to his feet. Parsons catches the impetuous Renfro with a knee in the middle. He lands with power, but does not prevent Renfro from reaching his body and landing in an abstraction. Renfro comes out on some ground attacks before Parsons gets up again. They finish the first round of the exchange near the fence.
