Former President Donald J. Trump to do Commentary for Vitor Belfort, Evander Holyfield Match

Fight fans will hear from the former President of the United States this weekend.

The upcoming Triller boxing card featuring the clash between former Ultimate Fighting Championship holder Vitor Belfort and former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield will have a special guest as a commentator. On Wednesday morning, Fite confirmed that the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, would make live comments on “The Phenom” ‘s long – awaited boxing debut.

“I love great fighters and great fights. I look forward to seeing you both this Saturday night and sharing my thoughts in the ring. “You will not want to miss this special event,” Trump said in a press release.

Trump has always strongly emphasized his support for martial arts, especially mixed martial arts. His friendship with UFC President Dana White has been known and dates back to 2001, when Trump allowed Nevada to promote events at the Trump Taj Mahal and other Trump venues, while other arenas rejected them. He also tried to start his own MMA promotion in 2007, when he was part of the Affliction promotion. While the venture never started as a legal competitor to the UFC, Trump signed some of the most important names at the time, including former UFC heavyweight champions Tim Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski.

Belfort (26-14 1NC MMA) is looking for a new challenge in his ten-year career in sports. The Brazilian had to make his debut in the One Championship before agreeing to the promotion in Singapore to be released from the agreement. Now, “The Phenom” is looking for its first boxing victory. Belfort had to face Oscar de la Hoya before the former boxing holder left after testing positive for COVID-19.

The upcoming Triller event will take place at Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida, from 6:00 pm ET on September 11th. Fans can order it at Fite for $ 49.99 in North America and, 13.99 in the UK. The card will also see a boxing match between former UFC kings Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz. Also, David Haye takes over Joe Fournier and Andy Vance clashes with Johnny Carroll.
