Cody Garbrandt is not a fan of Jake Paul and he calls out MMA legends.
On April 17, Paul earned his third victory in professional boxing by scoring a first-round TKO victory over Ben Askren. After the fight, a video was leaked of Paul and J’Leon Love talking trash with Tyron Woodley in his locker room while watching the YouTuber wrap his hand.
Since winning the victory, Paul called several MMA fighters, including Cormier. After that, Garbrandt took to social media to criticize the YouTuber.
“Your whole squad would be screwed. You beat a guy who can’t box at boxing. Why don’t you come to the cage? Because you’re a bitch and so is your whole team. I’d give you 50 pounds and get that toupee off your damn head. You will soon be exposed, ”Garbrandt wrote on Twitter.
It’s no wonder Paul’s teammate on Love responded to Garbrandt, but the former bantamweight champion also criticized him.
“All the MMA girls are crying too much to be so macho. The money is in the boxing ring. You can sign up and catch the smoke, ”Love tweeted to Gabrandt.
Cody Garbrandt then responded and roasted Love for being Paul’s cheerleader.
“If you’re a cheerleader for team Paul you’re in luck, @TWoodley acted professionally and didn’t rip your face off, if you ever grow a couple walnuts to be locked in a cage with me, I can guarantee that will happen to you,” Garbrandt replied .
Garbrandt certainly has a point that Jake Paul is only boxing for a reason, as if he were to fight any of these MMA fighters in the cage, he would be demolished. What Paul is doing is working though, as he has expressed his desire for him to become Paul vs. MMA, and after his latest win, he’s doing it.
