A bout between welterweight contenders Geoff Neal and Neil Magny is targeting the UFC on ESPN 24.
The UFC partner ESPN was the first to report that the match was almost over. The UFC on ESPN 24 takes place on May 8 and is led by Cam Sandhagen vs. Tam Dillashaw. No location confirmed for the card.
Neal and Magny were originally scheduled to clash on August 29 at UFC Fight Night 175, but Neal was forced to retire for health reasons.
After starting his advertising career with five consecutive triumphs, Neal struck a quick blow at the UFC Fight Night 183 headliner, where he lost a five-year sentence to former 170 170 challenger Stephen Thompson on December 19. four of his top five opponents in the UFC only need to win against Bellamy Mohammed.
Magny last appeared in the UFC on ESPN 20, where he had a three-game winning streak in a five-round losing decision against Michael Chiesa.
