Greg Hardy vs. Sergey Spivak moved to UFC 272

The heavyweight fight between Greg Hardy and Sergey Spivak will take place at UFC 272.

The UFC announced the move on Tuesday, four days after Hardy discovered a serious finger injury that forced him to pull out of UFC 270 on Saturday.

Hardy was originally scheduled to face Alexey Oleinik in Anaheim, California, but Oleinik was forced to pull out of the event. Spivak, who defeated Oleinik in a previous bout, made his second submission since his UFC debut in 2019 against Walt Harris.

The main event of UFC 272 will be a welterweight non-title bout between contenders and top players Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington. The event will take place March 5 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and will air on ESPN+ pay-per-view.

Former NFL player Hardy suffered a setback in his last pair of appearances, suffering knockout losses against Marcin Tibura and Tai Tuivasa. Spivak was stopped by Tom Aspinall in his last Octagon appearance.
