How To Repurpose Blog Posts Into Videos

It is your best place to get ideas for your videos. If you have an active blog, you can use the analytics through Google to find out which blog posts received the most attention. Then you can use that to help you come up with new ideas.

Find Your Most Popular Blogs

When using Google Analytics, find out which of your blog posts are currently receiving the most traffic. Here are the topics your audience would like to know more about.

Rework Title

You may be able to use the same title, if you do not change the format. For example, if it’s a “top ten” job but you’re going to break it up, you’ll want to explain that in the title.

Select the Most Important Points

If you have too many points in a video it can be too long. As mentioned above, instead of taking the top ten list and turning it into a video, why not take one point from each of the top ten posts and convert them into ten separate videos.

Choose Your Technology

Will you need a good camera, or will your webcam be good enough? Will you need editing technology to add images, music and other features to your video? Write down what you need so you can find out what technology requires.

Make Slides

If you just want to talk about the video, make slides with one sentence or point per slide that you plan to talk about. You want them to focus on what you are saying, not on reading the slide.

Add Visuals

Images like infographics, memes and graphs work well in video. People like to look over your head when they see a video. If you use good video editing software, you can insert great images and slides without interrupting the video.

Add sound effects

Don’t make the music so loud when you’re talking that you don’t hear what you’re saying. However, some royalty-free music will add a better look and sound to your video, especially in the intro and exit part.

Add Intro and Exit

Pre-use an introduction and exit that will be used on all your videos so you can bring them together into one valuable integrated asset for your audience. Don’t make them long, though; a few seconds is enough.

Market Your Videos

Post the video in a new blog post, with turmoil, description, and transcript. Then go back to the old blog and add the link to the video about the old blog that inspired you to make a video.

The first method to add videos to your marketing should be to replace old blog posts in videos. Video is becoming more successful than any other type of content to get more conversions. But, you don’t want to replace everything with video, you just want to add it.
