Jack Hermansson ‘Would Love to Run it Back’ against Marvin Vettori

Things are heating up as headlining the upcoming UFC Fight Night 200 pits Jack Hermansson against Sean Strickland. Hermansson (22-6, 9-4 UFC) put on a dominant display against Edmen Shahbazyan in May. The Frontline Academy member spent the end of 2021 recovering from the effects of COVID-19 and preparing for a wrestling match with Khamzat Chimaev, which Hermansson lost by decision. Now The Joker is totally focused on cracking his killer joke on his next victim at UFC Vegas 47, but has confessed he wants to avenge a few losses, starting with Marvin Vettori.

“Anyway, I’d love to attack Vettori again,” Hermansson told Sherdog. “I had some problems in this fight as I picked up an injury very early in the fight. I would definitely love to run back with him. At the same time it has to make sense. The UFC doesn’t usually do rematches if it weren’t for the title, but it’s definitely both him and Jared Cannonier, [whom] I also lost to . [They are] definitely [the] Guys that I want to fight again and do better. I think we always feel like when it’s not going our way we want to turn it back and avenge the loss we have. We will see. I wouldn’t be surprised if I fight Marvin again in the future.”

Hermansson also spoke about seeking a rematch with Chimaev in a grappling match, spoke about preparing for his next fight, talked about the middleweight championship landscape and more.
