Jake Paul has no shortage of potential adversaries after he cracked down on Ben Askren on Saturday.
It took the YouTube polarizing star less than two minutes to defeat Askren for a first-round TKO victory in the highly publicized Triller Fight Club main event. Much of the boxing match revolved around the praise of retired Askren in MMA: Funky won welterweight titles in the Bellator and ONE Championship, as well as defeating former UFC champion Robbie Lawler. So when he lost to Paul, a number of famous MMA fighters took to social media to challenge the social media celebrities.
Perhaps most importantly was Askren’s close friend and teammate Tyrone Woodley, who was only a few feet from Askren’s corner on the night of the fight when Paul was victorious.
Woodley responded to Paul’s cheeky tweet, threatening to kill him if they ever met in the ring.
It’s nice to say that you are a fighter for another day. Try this shit against me, I’m catching a body @jakepaul And you crowd with hoes. I wouldn’t use pillows to fight them. https://t.co/CKVwEH5Yj2

“It’s nice to say you’re a fighter for another day,” Woodley wrote. “Try this shit against me, I’m catching a body. [Jake Paul]… And you crowd with hoes. I wouldn’t use pillows to fight them. “
Woodley wasn’t the only former UFC champion offering his services, as BJ Penn also quickly stepped in, tagging Thriller and telling them, “send me a contract and I’ll happily knock this bastard out in one round.”
Unsurprisingly, Paul Dillon’s longtime rival Denis also called for a fight, adding, “Let me save the MMA community.”

Danis and Paul have been embroiled in an ongoing feud, including an incident last December when Paul targeted Denis in a water balloon attack. The potential match piqued the interest of Bellator President Scott Cocker, who said he was ready to order a series of two fights for two, in which one fight would be fought according to the rules of boxing and the other according to the rules of MMA.
Even UFC Vegas 24 main event winner Robert Whittaker took part in the fight when asked about a possible fight with Paul, later in the evening he joked with reporters that he would happily sign up for this match and at a lower price than the one Askren paid. …
“Yes, I would fight him for less,” Whittaker said of Paul.
Other notable names who have volunteered to fight Paul include Matt Brown, Chris Leben and Jimi Manuva.
Check out Paul’s other clarifications below:
Sucks to say but Ben Askren is screaming tonight and it’s a hell of a shame, but maybe this YouTube guy will come out and fight someone who really knows how to fight. # fight #Choose me

I still love Ben Askren. I enjoyed his wrestling and MMA career, he probably would have fought me in an MMA fight, but I will gladly avenge this loss! Jake and the spy at the same time https://t.co/6mnXn5sQfN
