James Gallagher forced out of Patchy Mix fight at Bellator 258 on May 7 – MMA Root

A scheduled bantamweight fight between James Gallagher and Patchy Mix, which was scheduled for the upcoming Bellator 258 event on May 7, has been canceled. According to MMA Junkie, Gallagher withdrew from the fight for undisclosed reasons.

Gallagher has been in tears lately, winning four in a row, including three stoppage victories, and was recently seen defeating Callum Ellenor at Bellator Milan last October via submission. Mix, meanwhile, is 2-1 under the Bellator MMA umbrella and was last seen falling short of Juan Archuleta at Bellator 246. The promotion is looking for a replacement to allow Mix to remain on the card.

Bellator 258 will feature a bantamweight title fight between division kingpin Juan Archuleta and Sergio Pettis. In the co-main event, Anthony Johnson will face Yoel Romero in a first round fight of the promotion’s light heavyweight Grand Prix. Additionally, Michael Page will face Derek Anderson in welterweight action, while Valerie Loureda will face Hannah Guy.
