Midnight Mania! Jon Jones slams UFC rankings – ‘Just take me off that silly list’

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones has a major problem with the current UFC ranking system and he’s not shy about letting us know.

Jones, who is currently on the sidelines planning his heavyweight debut and the overall change in life after his recent arrest, took to social media on Friday to express his displeasure with the latest rankings. The former UFC champion is widely regarded as one of the greatest fighters of all time and has never really lost inside the cage. Jones is typically number one on the pound-for-pound list, but has dropped to number four due to inactivity.

Ahead of Jones on the current P4P roster are welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, featherweight king Alexander Volkanovski, and middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, who is not one of Jones’ favorites. Not only did Jones take an immediate shot at “Last Stylebender” by ranking higher when “he can’t defend a takedown,” but he also turned his attention to just about everyone else.

“When you’re ranked above Jon Jones on a pound-for-pound list, but you know you can’t defend a takedown.”

“It’s fun to see people have the satisfaction of being better than me when I’m not even competing. Just get me off that silly list. “

“Lol I guess so I guess you can have 1/3 of an MMA game and be considered the real deal these days. This is something new here. “

“I find it quite interesting that I don’t see any of these heavy hitters talking shit. There are no comments on my problems. It’s the guys who wouldn’t fight me or the ones I’ve already kicked that seem to be the loudest. Funny how it works. “

While we’re on the subject of Jon Jones, check out the head shake of the former champion in the clip below:

Hasbulla has just arrived and is already landing a two-piece and a soft drink in “Minotauro” Nogueira. That tickle at the end of “Big Nog” is almost inappropriate.

The dispute between Jake Paul and Dana White continues to unfold before our eyes.

Jan Blachowicz caught up with Glover Teixeira before his title fight at UFC 267 to give him a Polish beer for his birthday. Pretty cool stuff from the champion.

KO slips, tears and clips

I’m not sure if this is old or new, but it’s amazing. The beating itself is on another level, but what about this guy’s chin? He picked up a 30 piece and kept swinging.

Ritu Phogat was attacked with an illegal upkick in ONE Championship: NextGen only to return fire later in the fight with what appears to be an illegal headbutt.

This fighter tried to call a time out in the middle of the action and was bombarded with strikes before the referee intervened.

Former UFC fighter KB Bhullar was disqualified for an illegal knee at UAE Warriors 24.

It’s Halloween weekend and that means we’re about to witness the start of a legendary UFC pay-per-view series. It begins Saturday night with UFC 267 in Abu Dhabi and then ends with UFC 268 next weekend in New York City. Both cards are incredibly stacked and packed with exciting title fights.

Oh yeah, Halloween is also good for candy and awesome things like this:
