Alex Moronowhich he defeated by a technical knockout Donald Cerrone, he does not hide that he is proud of the fact that he could face the legend of the UFC organization in a cage.

During the weekend UFC Vegas 26 gala, Alex Morono defeated Donald Cerrone, one of the most experienced fighters of the American organization, in the first round of the fight.

Morono took the fight against Cerrone in lieu of Diego Sanchez literally a week before the match. Shortly after winning an interview with the UFC, he said:

Last Saturday, I was training my students to prepare for the tournament, and in the evening I got a call about a fight. I had one day of hard training and flew to Vegas.

After winning, Morono posted a photo of Cerrone on social media and wrote:

Victory! What a crazy week. Sharing the octagon with the Cowboy – one of the toughest skins in the sport – was a real honor in the second fight of the night.

For Alex Morono, the victory over Donald Cerrone was a return to the path of victories. In an earlier match, Morono lost to former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis via a referee decision.

Morono has been fighting for the UFC since 2016 and has fought 13 matches in the octagon so far. In his career, he won against, among others Max Griffin or Josh Burkman. He has been fighting in professional MMA since 2010. Before joining the UFC, he fought under the Legacy Fighting Championship brand.
