Roberto SoldićWelterweight champion KSW, who made his middle class debut last year, plans further starts in this weight class.

In November 2020, Roberto Soldić tried his hand at middleweight and crushed Michał Materla there. This year Roberto has not yet entered the KSW cage, but he will most likely appear there in September, he said in an interview with Igor Marczak for Polsatsport.pl.

I was supposed to fight in July, but something happened and unfortunately I will not receive it. I’m probably going to fight in September, but I don’t know who my opponent will be yet, so I don’t want to cheat on anyone.

A KSW gala in Croatia is scheduled for September, but it has yet to be officially announced.

Roberto has also said he has no plans to return to welterweight at this time.

But I will definitely stay in the middleweight. I’ll go for a belt in that category and then probably go back to welterweight. We will see what the future holds and how I can do within the 84 kg limit.

So far, Roberto has not said who his opponent will be, but there has been talk for a long time about his clash with Mamed Khalidov. In one of the interviews, Martin Lewandowski, one of the bosses of KSW, said that there was also an idea for Roberto to fight Scott Askham and that it would be an eliminator for the belt fight with Mamed. He also added that the choice of an opponent for Mamed is also a result of the country in which the gala will take place with his participation.
