The Professional Fighters League is expanding its reach.
The offer announced Wednesday offers that will allow it to be shown in Germany, France and Belgium for the 2021 season. The PFL will be broadcast in Germany on BILD, the nation’s largest multimedia brand and daily newspaper, and via RMC Sport in France and Belgium.
Under the agreement, BILD and RMC Sport will be the exclusive providers of PFL content in Germany and France, respectively.
“Our distribution partnerships with BILD in Germany and RMC in France represent the growing worldwide demand for live events and content for the 2021 PFL season,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray. “Come this Friday, April 23rd, MMA fans in Europe and 160 countries will experience MMA 2.0, as PFL is the future of star sports, a form of winning and advancing season and our new SmartCage experience” .
The 2021 PFL campaign kicks off on Friday with a title card from a lightweight bout between former UFC champion Anthony Pettis and Clay Collard. The card will include lightweights and featherweights and starts with preliminaries on ESPN + at 5:30 p.m. ET / 2: 30 p.m. PT followed by the main card on ESPN2 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.
