The easy match ends in time for the February UFC pay-per-view tournament.
Renato Moikano and Alexander Hernandez are targeting UFC 271, several people with knowledge of the promotion plans, including the Moikano management team KOreps, confirmed MMA Fighting on Friday.
The event is scheduled for February 12, the venue and venue will be announced later.
Ag. Fight was the first to report a booking.
Moikano made the move to lightweight in March 2020 after a 5-3 shot at 145lbs and won two of three fights in his new weight class. The 32-year-old scored a 44-second submission win over Damir Hadzovich at the UFC on ESPN + 28, before being knocked out by Rafael Fiziev in the first round at UFC 256 in December. Moikano bounced back by defeating Jay Herbert in a second round submission at the June UFC Vegas 30 event.
Hernandez hopes to have a more active schedule in the new year as he hopes to build on the momentum he gained in the first round knockout over Mike Breeden at UFC Vegas 38 earlier this month. The Great also ended 2020 with a first-round knockout win, this time over Chris Grütsemacher, with a unanimous decision defeat to Thiago Moises between the two appearances.
