The UFC boss confirms Ngannou’s fight with Lewis. Jones went on without an agreement

UFC chief Dana White still hasn’t made arrangements for a return to the cage for Jon Jones and his fights in the heavyweight division. However, his focus is now on the battle for the royal category belt for Derrick Lewis.

Jon Jones, the former light heavyweight champion, recently parted ways with his manager, but has still not reached an agreement with the UFC on the finances for the heavyweight fight.

In a recent interview for TSN, Dana White admitted that he is not in talks with Jon Jones, but is confident that an agreement will be reached soon.

It doesn’t matter if Jon Jones has a manager or not. He will do what he wants. I know he has a good relationship with Hunter Campbell, so I think the two of them will get together soon and talk.

Without waiting for the talks to end, the UFC boss confirmed that the fans will see Francis Ngannou with Derrick Lewis in the next fight at the top of the heavyweight.

We are working on this fight. It will happen in the summer.

This clash will be the second fight for these players. The gentlemen faced each other for the first time in 2018. Then the fight took place at the full distance and it was won by Lewis. This time Derrick announces a faster end to the fight.

Lewis has remained undefeated for four fights. They succumbed to him: Blagoy Ivanov, Ilir Latifi, Alexey Oleynik, Curtis Blaydes. A fight for the belt with Francis Ngannou would be his second championship match. In the first, he lost to Daniel Cormier.

Francis Ngannou ascended the heavyweight throne in March this year. He then faced Stipe Miocic and smashed him in the second round of the fight.
