Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw will make his return to the Octagon against No. 2 ranked contender Cory Sandhagen at the upcoming UFC Vegas 26 main event on May 8 inside the promotion’s APEX facilities. In Las Vegas.
And he will do it as the underdog of +145.
That’s according to BetOnline.ag, who rated Sandhagen the -170 betting favorite. Dillashaw (16-4) is coming off a substantial suspension from the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and has seen no action since losing to Henry Cejudo in January 2019.
As for Sandhagen (14-2), he won nine of his last 10, including back-to-back knockout wins over Marlon Moraes and Frankie Edgar. Defeating Dillashaw is expected to give “Sandman” the next shot at the bantamweight crown.
Once these two are done worrying about it.
Also working on ESPN’s May 8 “Fight Night” event are veterans Donald Cerrone and Diego Sanchez. Cerrone is a huge -600 favorite over the aging “Nightmare” (+450), who is expected to retire from the UFC after his “Cowboy” fight.
