UFC President on McGregor’s potential fourth fight with Poirier

Dana White reacted to the third duel Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. At UFC 264, “The Diamond” was in the lead and won via TKO when the Irishman was injured in the first round of the game. The president of the organization believes that this rivalry can not end and is already announcing the next fight between the two men. At the press conference, White spoke about the end of this clash and the two men’s plans for the future.

It’s weak, it’s brutal, that’s not how people want to see the end of the fighting. Dustin Poirier will fight for the title, Conor McGregor will be back in full health and we will have a rematch, I don’t know.

McGregor will be operated on tomorrow. I only spoke to him in the octagon. The fight is not over. This is how the fight cannot end. Who knows how long Conor will be on break then… Poirier will continue to do his job until McGregor is ready.

Currently, the fighting record between the two men is 2-1 in favor of Poirier. In his next fight, he will likely face UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira. This will be his next chance to win the division champion title up to 70 kilograms. The Diamond are a former interim lightweight champion, but failed to unify their title against Khabib Nurmagomedov. The Russian returned it to UFC 242 in the third round of the game.
