Flyweight match between promising Valerie Loreda and Hannah Guy has been moved from Bellator 258 to Bellator 259.
The news was confirmed by an MMA Fighting official at Bellator following an initial report from MMA reporter James Lynch. The reason for the postponement was not disclosed. Bellator 259 will take place May 21 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut and is headlined by a featherweight title fight between champion Chris Cyborg and Leslie Smith.
Lureda, 22, most recently showed up at the Bellator cage last August when she stopped Tara Graff in a performance that made highlights for the finish line and her post-win celebration. It was Lureda’s third victory as a pro since signing with ViacomCBS when she moved from taekwondo to cage.
Guy, 25, makes his Bellator debut at Bellator 259. In the regional arena, she has a 2-1 victory by rear naked choke, marking her last cage appearance.
