“Won all championship belts … On the Internet!” Błachowicz responds to the words of Chimaev

Jan Błachowicz answered the words Khamzata Chimaevawho not long ago claimed he would be able to beat the UFC light heavyweight champion in the octagon. The Pole taunted “Borz”, claiming that he talks a lot in social media, which does not necessarily translate into great successes in the MMA cage.

“Borz” from the very beginning of his career in the UFC made it known that he considered himself the best fighter in the organization, regardless of the weight category. The player intends to perform in various divisions and in one of the interviews he even announced that he would be able to compete with Jan Błachowicz. Khamzat argued that during sparring he was dealing with light heavyweight players training at the Allstars Training Center, where, among others, they were preparing for their fights. Ilir Latifi or Alexander Gustafsson. The Polish UFC light heavyweight champion responded to Chimev’s words in an interview with Jason Burgos (~ 12: 20 in the video below).

He has to say something … He won all the UFC championships … On the Internet! On Twitter … Please … I have proved many times that I can beat players from the lower weight divisions. I can also say that I would beat everyone in boxing, for example, that I would beat Fury, that I knock him out, but who would believe me? I think only I would believe that. He may talk, but talking is different from fighting. Sparring and fighting are two different things.

Chimaev (9-0 MMA) in the “Ultimate Fighing Championship” octagon won three fights in 66 days in a very good style. The last time in the octagon was seen in September 2020, when he knocked out Gerald Meerschaert in just 17 seconds. He was due to face Leon Edwards in March this year, but withdrew from the fight due to health complications. “Borz” announces that he wants to fight 4 more times this year. The first match would take place in August.

Błachowicz (28-8 MMA) won his last 5 fights in a row. For the last time in the octagon of the largest MMA organization in the world, he performed at UFC 259, when he scored full distance for the organization’s star, Israel Adesanya. It was his first defense of the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. He has won prizes from, among others, Dominic Reyes, Corey Anderson and Luke Rockhold. Currently, the Pole is ranked 8th in the UFC ranking without division into weight categories. His next fight will be Glover Teixeira this September at UFC 266.
